1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using BeatboxStars ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BeatboxStars. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 may use the Platform but may not participate in any paid features without parental consent.

3. Account registration

When registering, you agree to:

Provide accurate and truthful information
Choose a username that does not impersonate another person or brand
Keep your password secure and confidential
Maintain only one account per person
Not create accounts for the purpose of manipulating votes, rankings, or any platform system

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User content

You may upload audio clips and other content to the Platform. By doing so, you confirm that:

You own the content or have the right to share it
Your clips do not contain copyrighted music samples from third parties unless you hold a valid license
Your content does not violate any applicable laws
Your content is beatbox-related and appropriate for a general audience (13+)

By uploading content, you grant BeatboxStars a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

5. Voting & ranking system

The voting and ranking systems are designed for fair community evaluation. The following are strictly prohibited:

Creating multiple accounts to vote for yourself (Sybil attacks)
Coordinating votes outside the platform to manipulate battle outcomes
Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to cast votes
Buying, selling, or sharing accounts

BeatboxStars reserves the right to annul suspicious votes and suspend or permanently ban involved accounts.

6. Tournaments & points

Participation in tournaments is voluntary. BeatboxStars reserves the right to modify tournament rules, eligibility criteria, and point systems at any time. There is no legal entitlement to participate in or win any tournament.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Impersonate any person, including well-known beatboxers, public figures, or other platform users
Post spam, irrelevant, or repetitive content
Attempt to hack, exploit, or compromise the Platform or other users' accounts
Upload malware or malicious code
Use the Platform for any illegal purpose

8. Account suspension & termination

BeatboxStars may suspend or permanently ban accounts at any time, with or without notice, particularly for:

Violation of these Terms of Service
Impersonation of other individuals
Manipulation of the voting or ranking system
Distribution of illegal or harmful content

You may delete your account at any time. Uploaded content may remain temporarily cached for a short period after account deletion for technical reasons.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

BeatboxStars is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform. We are not responsible for content uploaded by users.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BeatboxStars shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.
