How It Works

The rules of the ring, the coin system, and everything else you need to know.

Battle Coins

Battles cost 1 Battle Coin to create or join. You earn coins by voting on other people's battles.

  • Vote = Earn 1 coin (automatically added to your balance)
  • Create or join a battle = Spend 1 coin
  • Max balance: 5 coins — you can't hoard more than 5
  • If you have no coins and there are no battles left to vote on, you can still start one
  • Admins are exempt from the coin system

This keeps the economy fair: you have to participate in the community (vote) to keep battling.

1v1 Battles

A battle pits two 30-second beatbox clips head-to-head. The community listens and votes for their favourite.

  • Upload or record a clip (30–60 seconds, MP3 if uploading)
  • Challenge someone else's open clip, or accept a challenge
  • Each clip can only ever be used in one battle
  • A battle runs for a limited time while votes come in
  • When time is up, the clip with the most votes wins
  • In the rare case of a tie, the battle is marked as tied

Tournaments

Tournaments are bracket-style competitions with multiple rounds. Winners advance until one champion remains.

  • Open tournaments — anyone can join (if you have enough finished battles and a qualifying win rate)
  • Qualified tournaments — invite-only or require meeting stricter criteria
  • Register with a clip before the tournament starts
  • Each round you win, you submit a fresh clip for the next matchup
  • No-shows (missing 3 deadlines in 30 days) can temporarily lock you out of future tournaments

Leaderboard & Stats

Your profile tracks battles played, battles won, and win rate. The leaderboard ranks the top performers on the platform.

  • Win rate is calculated from finished 1v1 battles
  • Verified badges are awarded to notable artists and trusted community members
  • Follow other beatboxers to curate your personal feed

Fair Play Rules

Keep it fair, keep it fun. Violations can lead to warnings, restrictions, or permanent bans.

  • No fake accounts — one person, one account
  • No vote manipulation — don't coordinate votes outside the platform or use bots
  • No impersonation — don't pretend to be another beatboxer or public figure
  • Original clips only — your own voice, your own style
  • No copyrighted samples — unless you have a valid license
  • Be respectful — no harassment, threats, hate speech, or explicit content
  • No spam uploads — mass uploading irrelevant or low-effort clips hurts the community
