BeatboxStars ("beatboxstars.com") is operated from Switzerland. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

- Uploaded audio clips, titles, and associated metadata
- Votes cast and battle participation history
- Follower and following relationships
- Tournament participation and XP points
- IP address (used for security and rate limiting)
- Timestamps of activity

- Browser type and operating system
- Access times and pages visited
- Session cookies required for authentication
3. How we use your data
We process your data solely for the following purposes:
- Providing and operating the Platform
- Managing your user account
- Security and abuse prevention (rate limiting, spam protection)
- Responding to support inquiries
- Improving the Platform
We do not use your data for advertising purposes and do not sell your data to third parties. We may display static advertisements for beatbox-related websites and partners. These advertisements do not use tracking technologies, cookies, or any form of user profiling.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — database infrastructure and authentication (EU-based servers)
- Vercel — hosting and deployment (EU/US servers with Standard Contractual Clauses)
These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We do not share your data with any advertising or analytics third parties.
5. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability

BeatboxStars uses only technically necessary cookies for authentication (session cookies). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies. Advertisements displayed on the Platform are static and do not set cookies or track user behaviour.
8. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmissions
- Encrypted password storage
- No storage of payment data on our servers
9. Minors
The platform is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the platform or by email.
